In 2017, the Glière Quartet was formed by four outstanding musicians who are passionate about chamber music and the quartet literature in particular. The Vienna-based quartet, consisting of the Polish/Austrian violinist Dominika Falger (principal cellist Vienna Symphony Orchestra), since 2018 the German violist Martin Edelmann (Vienna Symphony Orchestra), the Hungarian cellist Endre F. Stankowsky (solo cello Budapest Opera) and the Ukrainian/Austrian primary violinist and founder Wladislaw Winokurow, specialises in interpretations of Ukrainian (Soviet) composers of the late 19th century and early 20th century. The repertoire also includes compositions by Western European composers from the classical to the modern period. The quartet is a regular guest at various international festivals and concert halls in Europe. Since 2020 cooperation with the company DUX (Poland), recording series of the R. Gliére String Quartets. Last CD released in October 2023 with works by Josef Wieniawski and Anton Bruckner.
